If anyone is interested, Gordon took some photos of the BSA Cup& Harley Scramble. He only took about 140 pics as it got really muddy and his expensive equipment would have been damaged if he stayed around to take more. Click here to view the gallery.
If you are interested in having a look and trying to make out your number or bike, please look on www.truespiritphotos.com.
Please try and support Gordon as he spends alot of time at
motocross events taking some great pics.
Thanks,
Debbie Robertson

Quads
A number of people have asked why we aren't running quads at the club this year.
The subject of quads was brought up at the AGM and most of the discussion was about the lack of numbers, although there was some discussion about quads sweeping dirt off the track, this didn't seem to be a problem to most people.
At a number of club runs we have only had a few quads and on several occasions only one. For the BSA Cup last year we only had three entries by the closing date and struggled to get enough to run the class.
A vote was taken and the outcome is that we wont be running quads at club runs this year. Quads will be riding at our state round and at the BSA Cup if the numbers are there.
This is a timely reminder to members that if you want to have your say on the direction that the club takes then you need to come to the meetings and make your vote count.

Over the next two weekends we still have a lot of work to do at the track so, if you want to get your busy bee done early come up and give us a hand.

Bringing non-members to ride at the track
It has been brought to our notice that club members have been bringing non members to the track to ride. This is a club rule that is forbidden, and will result in instant termination of club memberships, as per the club rules.
ALL RIDERS and OFFICIALS must sign on whilst riding and officiating at the track for practice.
The gate key opens the practice paperwork box where all the appropriate paperwork is. There will be no excuses. The club rules and requirements are explained to each new rider and member, and are subsequently signed by club members.
If you have any questions please contact either President Dave, Vice President Russell, Secretary Nicki, or any other members of the BSA HD committee.

Important Information For Members
2010 will see the introduction of a compulsory busy bee and flag roster levy of $100 per senior member. This is fully refundable when the member has flagged for a race meeting plus attended and helped out at a busy bee. Both duties will be signed off by the club. Members who fail to provide a flag marshal or assist at a busy bee will forfeit the levy and be unable to compete at race events until these duties are carried out. This includes Life Members.
Membership Forms and Sign-up days which look like being held in January and also in February will be up on the website when they have been finalized. After these sign-up days the rosters for flagging and busy bees will also be up on the website and on the notice board at the track.
This newest introduction has had to be put in place due to a serious lack of assistance. It is to encourage all members to take an active and productive attendance towards the club and facilities.

Farewell to a BSA/HD MC Life Member
Saturday the 7th of November the BSA/HD club, friends and family paid their last respects to the late Mark Brigatti, who passed away earlier in 2009 with a service and the scattering of Mark's ashes at the Noble Falls track.
Mark #90 was a life member of the club and only son of club stalwart and life member Terry and Glenyse Brigatti. A plaque was unveiled next to Billy Thomas Pathway in honour of Mark Brigatti.
Mark's memory will live on with a perpectual trophy for the first BSA/HD member across the line in the annual Harley Scramble. 2009 saw Stevie Heilers awarded the first Mark Brigatti Memorial Award.
Longtime friends, Pete O'Sullivan, Barry Osborne and Ian Brown followed Terry Brigatti and Jodie Brown in a moving guard of honour around the track. Then a succession of riders joined in for a few laps around the track in tribute to Mark. A bbq lunch went long into the afternoon to bring to a close a very touching and moving day.
Terry and Glenyse would like to extend a big thank-you to all those who came up for the service as well as the club and those people who helped out on the day.
RIP Mark Raymond Brigatti 1965-2009.
Flag Marshal and Busy Bee Levy 2010
This proposal will be addressed and voted on at the upcoming AGM on Tuesday the 1st of December.
1. Members who fail to provide a flag marshal and do not attend for the remainder of the season may not have their membership renewed or may be cancelled for the following season.
2. All racing/riding and competitive members will be charged a compulsory flag marshal and busy bee levy of $100 per member. This levy is fully returnable provided that the member nominates AND attends at least ONE Busy Bee for a minimum of three hours and provides a flag marshal for the flagging roster.
3. If a member does not attend the minimum 3 hours busy bee AND/OR provide the compulsory flag marshal, the levy is not refundable nor returnable to the member. The money will be allocated as follows: $50 cash paid to someone who is willing to flag on a day, and $50 to the club as financial re-imbursement towards facilities and upgrades at busy bees.
4. Riders who give up their race day at a race meeting in order to either flag or officiate are rewarded by receiving an average amount of points they would normally receive for racing. It is not fair that people continue to give up their racing in order to allow others to race without reward.
In line with other mx clubs and sporting clubs, the levy is to encourage all members to take an active and productive attendance towards the club and facilities. It also financially rewards those who continually help out and assist with flagging despite having already officiated at this level during the year.
Sponsors for 2010
Sponsorship proposals have been sent out and despite the current economic difficulties, the response has been favorable. The unique positioning of the track is an advertisers dream, with ongoing traffic along Toodyay Road, plus the expanses of fencing situated around the circuit itself.
Our major event for 2010 will be the annual BSA Cup and Harley Scramble race meeting. Steep in history for riders, plus the added incentive of prize money, this event is the premiere race meeting for the BSA/HD MC and attracts riders from all over WA. We will start now contacting businesses for sponsorship for that race meeting.
If you would like your business to be a supporter and sponsor of the club, please contact Nicki on 0427528467, or drop an email to fatcatz6@bigpond.com.
Please remember to support the businesses that sponsor and support the club.
Ladies Racing 2010
The BSA HD club is pleased to announce the Ladies Class will be up and racing again in 2010. The BSA Club held round 2 of the WAMX ladies state championship in 2009 and the response from the ladies, who ranged from 17 years right through to 38 years of age, was overwhelming.
So girls, tired of watching the boys have all the fun? If so bring your bike (or his) up to the track and have a go with the rest of us. Remember 5 riders constitute a class, so let’s get out there and have a blast.
Girls who are full financial BSA members will be racing for their own trophy for the Ladies Class. If you do not have a competition licence, all you require is:
• Helmet and appropriate riding gear (gloves, boots, goggles, mx gear etc)
• Club membership (become a member for the day)
• One day licence (enables you to compete for the one day)
For further info email Nicki at fatcatz6@bigpond.com or phone 0427528467

Officials Course Coming Up
Anyone wishing to become an official at the club, or go on to officiate at other events, MWA is always conducting official training courses. There are a number of courses coming up over the next few weeks and months, and at varying levels of accreditation. These courses are perfect for club members who wish to obtain a level one licence in order to access a key to the Noble Falls MX Circuit for practice. Visit the following link for further details: http://www.motorcyclingwa.org.au/coming_officials.php
Practice at Noble Falls
Members wishing to practice at the track must have a Level One Official with you. Riders and officials must sign on prior to riding. MWA have now appointed officers to regularly check tracks to ensure riders are complying with the rules, and fines will apply to riders and officials not signing on, and riders without Level One Officials in attendance. Riders and officials must sign the sign on sheet, located at track every time practice is undertaken.
There have been instances of late which required clear clarification which is directly from the rules:
- Riding is permitted on the track only.
- Riders are not to cut across the infield.
All riders must return to the pits via the pit return, the entrance to which is around the first bend past the
Start/finish line on the right hand side. DO NOT CUT ACROSS THE TRACK OR THE START LINE.
Riding Times
Practice Times strictly 9am to 4.30pm daily and 9am to 4.30pm on Fridays.
Please adhere to these rules, as we have neighbours to consider.
